Popular Searches Instructions How do I find data for a new food?
  1. Click the seach bar that says "Find Another Food". On mobile you can click "Change" from the top menu.
  2. Start typing the name of the food.
  3. Click or tap to select a food that is the closet for what you searched for.
  4. If you can't find the food you are looking for try to change the search term. Change "Green Beans" to "Green String Beans"
  5. If you still can't find the food, you can also try the general site search.
  6. If you have a different name suggestion, please contact us to let us know.
How do I change a serving size?
  1. Click the serving size listed under the name of the food.
  2. A drop down menu will appear.
  3. Click the serving size you want.
  4. The results will automatically update.
How can I change the quantity of a food?
  1. Click the quantity box under the name. This box has a default value of 1.
  2. Enter the quantity you would like as a whole number, decimal, or fraction. I.E.: 2 Medium Apples, 1/2 Medium Apple, 0.333 Medium Apple.
  3. Click Update.
  4. The results will automatically update.
How can I create a custom serving size?
  1. Choose a serving size you want to modify. I.E.: "100 grams", "1 oz"
  2. Change the quantity in the quantity box to create a custom serving size. For example:

  4. The results will automatically update.
How can I delete a food?
  1. Click the "X" in the top right of the food card.
  2. The results will automatically update.
  3. The Nutrition Facts Search tool does not have a delete button. Just search for another food to replace it.
How can I share the nutrition facts?
  1. Click the "Share" button and choose a share option.
  2. You can also copy and paste the link to share.
How can I save a food to favorites?
  1. Be signed in to your account. If you don't have an account, you can create one for free.
  2. Click the "Save Food" button.
  3. Click "Favorite Foods".
  4. Click "Add 1 Item".
  5. The item will be added to your favorites list in the "My Foods" section.
How can I compare a food with another?
  1. Click the "Compare" button under the food name card.
  2. Search for another food to compare.
  3. Click "View Results".
How can I add this food to a recipe?
  1. Click the "Add to Recipe" button under the food name card.
  2. Search to add other foods to your recipe.
  3. Click "View Results".
I can't find a nutrient I am looking for.
  1. Scroll down to "Detailed Nutrition Facts".
  2. Click a section for the nutrient you want to view. I.E.: Vitamins, Minerals, Amino Acids, etc.
  3. Click the header of the section to view the detailed nutrition data.
